Per Diem Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist — Feeding & Myofunctional Specialty
Creative Speech Therapy NYC — Part-Time / W-2 — Afternoons
Creative Speech Therapy NYC has a steady, established waitlist of pediatric feeding, articulation, and myofunctional cases — and we’re looking for an experienced clinician to take on two afternoons a week treating them. This isn’t a role where you’re building a caseload from scratch; you walk in to clients who are already waiting for you.
About Us
Creative Speech Therapy NYC is a pediatric private practice specializing in speech, language, and feeding therapy, with a growing focus on orofacial myofunctional disorders. Our caseload includes children with feeding difficulties, articulation delays, tethered oral tissue (pre/post-frenectomy), and open-mouth breathing patterns. Our small clinical team collaborates closely on complex cases, and our administrative staff handles scheduling, materials preparation, and day-to-day client-facing logistics so clinicians can focus on treatment.
About the Role
This is a part-time, W-2 position covering after-school hours, 3:00–6:00 PM, on two of three available days — Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, your choice of two. You’ll carry a caseload drawn primarily from the feeding, articulation, and myofunctional referrals already on our waitlist, with built-in time for case consultation with our clinical team.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct treatment for a caseload of pediatric feeding, articulation, and orofacial myofunctional cases
- Complete evaluations, progress notes, and documentation — paid at the same rate as treatment time
- Participate in built-in case consultation and mentorship time with the clinical team
- Communicate with parents/caregivers on plan of care and progress, with day-to-day logistics supported by admin staff
- Collaborate with other clinicians and referring providers (ENT, dentistry, OT) on shared complex cases as needed
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Active New York State SLP license and ASHA CCC
- Minimum 3 years of independent pediatric feeding caseload management experience
- Certification or completed training in at least one of: SOS Approach to Feeding, Beckman Oral Motor, TalkTools, AEIOU, or IAOM (orofacial myofunctional)
- Availability for 2 of 3 afternoons (Monday/Wednesday/Friday), 3:00–6:00 PM
Preferred:
- Experience with tethered oral tissue (pre/post-frenectomy) caseloads
- Additional myofunctional or feeding-related certifications beyond the required minimum
- Experience collaborating with ENT, dentistry, or OT providers on shared cases
Compensation & What Makes This Role Different
- $62/hour — paid equally for treatment and documentation/paperwork time
- W-2 employment
- A consistent, pre-built caseload from our existing waitlist — no cold-start client acquisition
- CEU funding support
- Built-in mentorship and case consultation time, paid as part of your scheduled hours
- Administrative support for scheduling, materials prep, and client-facing logistics
How to Apply
Send your resume, license number, and certification(s) to: rachael@cst-nyc.com
