Meet the Creative Speech Therapy NYC Team

Rachael Rose
Owner, Founder, & Speech/Language Pathologist
M.S. CCC – SLP, TSSLD
Specialties include: Feeding, Apraxia, Open Mouth Posture at Rest, and Articulation

Rachael Rose is the owner and founder of Creative Speech Therapy NYC, which was established in 2015. Her favorite things about her job include:

Seeing the relief in a new parent when we have a breastfeeding breakthrough.
Sharing in the moment when parents witness their child’s “firsts,” like their first word or first “I love you.”

Around the holidays, hearing parents express that their extended family can understand their child for the first time.
Connecting with a child who has been labeled as difficult.
Confidently comforting overwhelmed parents about tethered oral tissue.
Preventing effects of open mouth breathing, like poor sleep and drooling, through early intervention.
Finding the perfect combination of Apraxia techniques for a child learning to get their first words.
Seeing a child’s quality of life improve, starting with their first session, as they learn to safely chew and swallow.

Rachael has completed high level trainings including: Talk Tools Level 2, Feeding Therapy: A Sensory Motor Approach, Natural Language Acquisition (Meaningful Speech), SOS- Approach to Feeding, PROMPT: Technique IAOM trained orofacial myologist, Tethered Oral Tissue, Kaufman Apraxia of Speech

Dani Edelstein
Speech/Language Pathologist
M.A. CCC – SLP, TSSLD
Specialties include: working with individuals with Autism Spectrum disorder (ASD), genetic syndromes, feeding disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, Augmentative and Assistive Communication (AAC) and pragmatic language delays.

Dani is a warm, empathetic and committed speech language pathologist who focuses on making therapy both fun and functional. She values building strong connections with clients and collaborating with families. Her favorite parts of her job are:

Seeing a child’s face brighten up as they hear our Social Jam welcome
Hearing from a parent that their child was able to go out to a restaurant and order off the menu
Educating parents about how to set up a successful mealtime routine
Connecting with a parent who received a genetic diagnosis for their child and are unsure of how to best support them
Hearing “hi Dani” when a child has never greeted anyone before
Hearing a child’s voice through their communication device OR providing an alternative form of communication for a child that has been able to communicate verbally

She has completed high level trainings such as PROMPT (Level 1 Training), Natural Language Acquisition (Meaningful Speech) and AEIOU: An integrated approach to pediatric feeding.

Jane Wright
Practice Manager

Jane previously worked as CST’s Office Manager and Graphic Designer (2022 – 2025). She is very excited to be back! Jane is an artist and has worked across many creative mediums, such as illustration, podcasting, and theatre. She loves getting to know all the families and kids who come into the office.

Tommy Montgomery
Social Jam Musician
BFA

Tommy is our dynamic musician who makes social jam the best time of the week! With over a decade of experience wearing many creative hats – actor, musician, children’s entertainer – Tommy brings energy and joy to every session. Outside of CST, he is a member of the acting company, Only Make Believe, performing interactive theatre for children with disabilities and illnesses across NYC schools and hospitals. He is also a company member at Shadow Box Theatre, acting and playing guitar in musical puppet shows that travel to schools across NYC.
