The Social Jam
Are you worried your child will face social rejection, bullying, or low self esteem?
Social Jam is a special class co-taught by a speech/language pathologist and a musician. This group is unique in that it combines music, language, and collaboration between kids and teachers. Music teaches communication in a different way. Music making teaches kids it’s wonderful to be themselves. This is where Social Jam was born.
Our Process
- Using careful analysis of your child’s social/language strengths and needs, we will place your child in their ideal jam band.
- Whether your child is verbal or non-verbal, we are able to build conversation skills through music. We meet your child where they are.
- Along with a safe space, sessions combine sensory regulation, engaging with peers, and exploring play skills.
- Each group includes up to 4 children between the ages of 2-10. Sessions are $180 per class and can be reimbursed through several methods.
Social Jam is right for the child who:
- Struggles to talk to other kids on the playground
- Loves music
- Is not being invited to social events with their peers
- Is anxious around unfamiliar children and family members
- Struggles to make friends
- Learns best in a small class setting
With our current kids and parents loving the groups, we want to extend the magic of Social jam to as many families as we can – including yours!
