2022 in Review

The past year has been packed to the brim with new things. New people, places, and experiences. We are so grateful to all of the people who have encouraged our growth and shown their support through all this new-ness.

In March we had the pleasure of welcoming Christine Haggerty to the team. Christine has been a dedicated and top notch therapist as she has helped her clients achieve their goals. She joined an already strong force of speech therapists including, Siena Cardamone. Siena’s skills and patience make her another invaluable asset to Creative Speech Therapy. They’ve both done an incredible job this year. Very recently we have had the exciting opportunity of adding a THIRD new amazing therapist, Keirstin Glynn. Keirstin has experience working with children of all ages and is eager to initiate much needed social skills groups for our families. We’re eager to see the growth she will inspire.

Perhaps the biggest change of this year…WE MOVED!! We have an office now!! We have seen new found focus and countless successes from the kids at our new office. With its cozy atmosphere, shelves of new toys and games, and extra space for therapy, we truly could not be happier in this new space. It helps us give the best possible service to the kids who receive therapy there. We hope the decorations and holiday parties only get bigger and better! Along with the new office came an additional team member, Office Manger/Marketing Director – Jane Wright. We sure love Jane and her organizational skills. Jane has truly had the best time getting to know the families who come to Creative Speech Therapy and is so glad to be apart of it all.

During the summer we did a major re-vamping of every child’s treatment plan with more specific objectives and activities to reach their goals. We hope these treatment plans are helping at home. More highlights from the year include Rachael’s presentation at the PURA Syndrome Conference, participating at National Night Out on the Upper East Side, and a raging, bubble filled Halloween party.

Moving into 2023, we will be focusing on bringing more group feeding courses and social skills sessions to our practice. Rachael will also be taking on the role of adjunct Professor at Lehman College, teaching Pediatric Feeding Courses.

Many great and exciting things to come. But right now, we’re just grateful and full of pride reflecting on the past year. Happy Holidays!!! We wish you wonderful experiences, success, and health this season.
