Tethered Oral Tissue Therapy

& Oral Motor

What will Creative Speech Therapy do for my child's tethered oral motor, tethered oral tissue, or tongue tie?

Tethered oral tissue often causes speech, feeding, and dental problems. Our therapists are trained orofacial myofunctional therapists in orofacial myofunctional therapy. We will complete a comprehensive oral assessment to determine if your child has tethered oral tissue. This assessment will tell us if there is limited functioning that needs treatment.

We refer our clients to the top ENTs in New York City for frenectomy (tongue tie release). We provide pre and post-frenectomy care in coordination with your medical team. We also provide comprehensive re-education treatment, according to current research, after the procedure to ensure that your child gets the best possible functioning post release.

Poor oral motor skills are often the underlying reason for speech and feeding difficulties. Our experts are specially to assess, diagnose and treat all types of oral motor problems.
